Twitter, investigated for monopolistic practices in the U.S.


The focus of the conflict is UberMedia, a potential competitor to Twitter independently developed applications for the network of microblogging. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), USA has opened an investigation against alleged monopolistic practices of Twitter in their relationship with outside development. The FTC, charged with ensuring free competition, has requested information from UberMedia who have been willing to cooperate. However, the record has a character "limited" and is one more in routine investigations of the FTC to determine if companies carry out activities contrary to free competition. Google is also currently under investigation, who won a lawsuit the FTC to investigate whether it is abusing its dominant position in Internet searches to lure users to their services to the detriment of competitors.
