Google accused of Monopoly is being investigated

The Federal Trade Commission of the United States has begun a serious investigation against Google (Monopoly), since there is speculation that the company is using and abusing his power and fame in regard to market Internet searches , leaving no room for other (well, this is something we already knew).

It is intended to evaluate and demonstrate, if for the offense is the alleged manipulation exerted by Google to promote its search engine search results where they appear for example Gmail or YouTube, or Google services and other companies . (Source of reference: the world ).

This is argued, is an attempt to establish an order of competitiveness and a healthy competition between companies that focus on Web environment.

I think it's fair that Google favors the positioning of certain searches to promote both Gmail and YouTube. That's because without sounding like a Google fan (I'm not), I have to say that both Gmail and YouTube, are superior in many respects to other services that are the responsibility of Google.

Another aspect that will focus on research, will be the advertising that appears related to the searches performed by users, this to determine whether this is also handled by Google.

I particularly agree on free competition in free markets and the opportunity may be granted to others to participate. But when a company offers good service and to protect this freedom (albeit inconsistently) apply sanctions as a result contain an offer of lower quality sites, I think something is wrong with the system.
