The principle is similar to spam filters webmail services that are becoming increasingly "personalized" as and when the user identifies a message as spam. Taking up this idea Google now intends to further customize the results of its engine. The latter can then form its own database of filtered sites. Thus, turning a page of Google results suggest a new link to block the entire contents of a website by filtering its domain name. This preference will be added in the user account of the user. This requires ensuring that it will be identified on the server of the company before making a request.
For the moment Google does not intend to use the various lists of blocked Internet domains to improve the index of its engine. This new feature is now available for the English version of the service and for Internet browsers using Google Chrome 9 +, Firefox 3.5 + and Internet Explorer 8 +. In the past Google has made available an extension for browser Google Chrome replicating these features.
